We thought it was about time we told you about our amazing client, MapVintage.

MapVintage is the brainchild and very well dressed baby of Mandy Wagstaff. Map is the home of  vintage designer fashion and one-off couture pieces that will seriously blow your mind. Fashion fan or not these are little pieces of history and very fine looking ones at that.

We first met Mandy way back in March on the set of a photo shoot where we used many of her amazing pieces. From the moment we met Mandy we knew we were going to be seeing a lot more of her.

Mandy amused the entire team with tales of vintage hunts overseas, the amazing finds and the precious diamonds in the rough that she stumbled upon in the least expected places.

To this day, our meetings are still filled with these incredible tales, like the pair of John Galliano shoes, straight off the runway that have ever been born. You name the label and Mandy most likely has it.

Just to name drop a few… Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, Burberry Prorsum, Chloe, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Valentino, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix, Mui Mui, Lanvin, Prada, Armani, Givenchy, Oscar De La Renta…need we go on…

She has gems from labels that have come and gone, but not without shaping the fashion industry in a significant way. Bill Gibbs, Zandra Rhodes ringing any bells?

Mandy goes overseas every two-three months, trawling (and yes it’s apparently grueling work) New York, Paris and Milan in search of one off couture pieces and archived designer garments and accessories.

Every piece on Mandy’s racks is completely unique, the type of fashion that shapes timeless, unforgettable style.

Mandy is due to go overseas again in October and we will bringing you lots of exciting new designer pieces then, but in the meantime check out the new indent stock arriving on the website weekly and if you’re lucky enough to be a Sydneysider head into the MapVintage store to view these pieces of fashion history first hand.

The MapVintage store is located at 2/289 Liverpool st. Darlinghurst 2010. Mandy is there from Wednesday-Saturday and is available for private appointments on Monday and Tuesday. Check out their Facebook for the full store hours and the best of everything fashion related.
